Abstract
This is study on the cognition and attitudes toward psychiatric disorders of the nurses and caretakers in Young-In Mental Hospital.
@ES The results and suggestion are as follwed:
@EN 1) The nurses' cognition and attitudes were apt to be dangerous and awful, especially they thought much of saving their faces. But the answers of items about heredity, isolation and seclusion of psychiatric patients were 'No'. And then the
care-takers were apt to answer conversely with nurses results.
2) Assessments of the items about psychotic symptoms were serious as usual as the other studies. But in spite of taking the neurotic symptoms lightly, but those were slightly more serious than the results of previous investigations. Especially
items
about anxiety and depression were assessed seriously as much as psychotic symptoms. These result were two of a kind in nurses and car-takers group.
3) After the education of psychiatric disorders, the results of the care-takers; cognition and assessments were not different from pre-educational state.
4) Our suggestion is that there is a necessity of developing the proper methods to educate, edify and give the informations about the psychiatric disorders.
